The only triple point regattas are: State Masters Championships, Edward Trickett Grade Championships and Sprint Championships.
Double Points regattas are: Henley on Hunter and Taree. Double points at these regattas are only awarded in open/age and grade races. Masters' events do not get double points.
For every race across all grade and masters’ regattas, points are concertinaed. Only one crew per club can get points in a race. For example, If Glebe comes 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a race and ARC gets 4th, ARC gets the points for coming 2nd. Glebe can only score the points for first. Likewise, if in a field of 9 rowers at SIRC and three clubs are represented in those 9 rowers (say 4 Glebe, 4 Penrith and one ARC). If Glebe takes out first, Penrith takes out 2nd and 3rd and ARC comes last, the ARC rower gets the points for 3rd after eliminating all the same club members.
Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd even if there are only three starters. Likewise, if there are only 2 starters in a race, the person who comes 2nd gets points for 2nd…unless they are the same club.
First place – 4 point. 2nd place – 2 points. 3rd place – 1 point.
